Shameless Self promotion

Post by Ross »

I'm excited because this Sunday is the "Premier" of a short film I wrote music for. This consisted of a theme song, bits of which are used as incidental music, a cover of "Limbo Rock" and a few other bits of music. A friend of mine who is trying to get into screenwriting self-produced it and asked me to write the music.

Anyway - in addition to being submitted to festivals, they are screening on the big screen in Idlyllwild this Sunday evening. So just wanted to share my excitement, and I guess this is the right thread - seemed kinda Monkey Business-ey to me.

Those curious can check out

Thanks for listening,

Ross

Congratulations! It looks really cool to see your name on the bottom of a film poster, it's like OMG! I know who that is!
That looks like an interesting film too, I wish the trailer worked on my pc :(

Very cool Ross! The trailer looked interesting and mixed with your music made it even better. Anything I can help with, just let me know. Also, my nephew is part of an acting group and he is very good and is always looking for other projects to volunteer in. If your friend needs a good actor, Bryan is your man.

Cool, that worked. No wonder you're excited. First Melvin, now you!
I wonder if we'll get a wave of people submitting John-Williams-wannabees submitting entries if word gets out that songfighters are breaking into the film soundtrack market.

I hope you have an amazing time at the premiere.
