Hell yeah! I dunno about the optional challenge, but for me, this just begs for a song about Night Terror, the secret boss of SOUL CALIBUR III! (A video game... yeah, I'm that kinda nerd.)

Paco Del Stinko should do a song about a guy that rips nights in half. :P

Hm, a long time ago I made a crappy track about hypnagogic hallucinations (which is the medical term for what are often called "night terrors") but it's a subject matter near and dear to my heart, so mmmmmaybe I'll try to think of something new.

I wish we had recorded our son as he was having night terrors. It's intense! Of course at the time they're happening we're both blurry eyed and thinking "is this the end of the wold" so grabbing a recorder wasn't the first thing we thought of. First it was heavy drinking...

I've been playing Soul Calibur III for the last few weeks so I undertand the wanting to do a song about that.

I'll do this if I can. Obviously it's been a while since I've done a song here but I started working in May and since then I havent' done much musically. I was jobless from 2000-2007 so I had all the time in the world before but now I'm just plain tired....urgh....
From spoken word to actual singing, I can screw up any style with style. :D

This will dovetail nicely with the metafilter "spooky, tomwaitsimpression, lotsofnotes" challenge.
My other music is Old Time / shape note.

Marathon weekend sessions have created a strange phenomenon where I am already in with "Night Terrors"! And methinks it's way better than my "Baby Be Quiet". Hoo-hah!

(And yeah, I went with the video game angle. Which might be scary in itself?)

Every so often I have terrible night terrors. (Usually only when I'm super stressed out.) The worst episode involved me literally punching out a window in my sleep. That was really scary.

Hahaha I have written the nerdiest song I have ever written. And I've written some pretty nerdy songs.

Also, I finally got an excuse to use my ukulele on a song. (That's pretty scary!)

I'm happy to say that I will be drumming in another song this week - expect some mad-fast stuff (my calves are seized up from practicing it about 5 times - in the next 2 days I'm going to have to work hard on my stamina)

EDIT: Pardon my lack of muscle knowledge - my 'Tibialis Anterior' muscles are aching profusely.

Imagethat was terrible, but I could not restrain myself from laughing.

By the way, I have written music for this fight that Dragonforce themselves would be proud of. That's right folks. The powermetal cometh. And the dragon comes in the niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight!!!!!

Mine will be scary in three ways:

1. Zombies
2. Communism
3. Production Quality

Yeah. You know it's going to rock.

According to my sf record keeping system, we are fast approaching song fight #500... Spud, can you check the database and see how far away we are from the official #500?

We should do something, y'know, festive. Or crazy. Everybody in the pool, the first 100-entry fight or something.

Ooo! I find that exciting! Huge bash! You could hang retired numbers on the wall and tip your caps to the crowds, invite old players from bygone eras to take one more lap around the stadium! Or, you know, just call the fight "500" and keep on truckin'. Cool milestone, anyway. :)
