okay so I'm a little late in posting my reviews; but I'm just getting back to SongFight as of this week, and haven't really had time to listen to everything yet until now..

Adam Dachis> Adam, m'dear how can you sing like a girl? ;) Well, whoever she is, she's damn frickin' talented, this sounds like something.. theatre; but I presume that's exactly what you're going for. This is -very- well done, but the melody is too all-over-the-place for me. Good job though.

Censorship Committee> *beep* this. Brutal levels on everything; and the joke is just not *bleep*ing funny. The music, while annoying, is technically not horrible.. make a real entry next week, without the *beeping* *bleep* or get the *bleep* out of here.

Hot Tub Combo> You sing worse than me. Also most of the recording is really muddy; the lyrics are only slightly amusing; I hope you only plan to do the whole immature-kid-thing just this once; otherwise it's just not funny. Bah; it's 1:30 into it and I'm already sick of it.. I just keep listening because it's kind of funny. .. The instrumental part is my favorite.

Johnny in the Corner> As much as I like that type of guitar distortion; it doesn't really fit the song. Also, the accent, which I'm pretty certain is phony, is brutal. The keyboard in the chorus is way to tweety. Don't get me wrong though; everything else in the song is pretty sweet; and this is actually my favorite thus far.

Niveous> Awesome. I love the creepy atmosphere here, I just think the vocals would fit the spookiness better if you put maybe two tracks in, or a slight echo or something.

Oh Tomasio> I would love this if it were performed by the Mountain Goats; however, it is not and I assume what you're going for is Dashboard Confessional. I would like this a lot better if you removed the keys (?) in the background, and just had the guitar playing. Not bad, just not that good.

Phunt Your Friends> Can't tell what you're saying. This isn't really a song, is it?

Raven Pain> Ten seconds into this I was diggin' this more than anything I'd heard yet; but then OH FUCK. You had to ruin it. I was going to be really mean to you but you said it best about 26 seconds into this. I stopped listening at about 40. My ears have been raped and defiled.

Scott "da bomb" Wilson> I fail to see what makes you the bomb. And what the hell? Ten minutes of this? Oh, I get the joke. You're being to mean to me.. You and half of the other entries here.

Sell Crazy> Another actually good song. Don't care for the vocal style much, but you pull it off. Not my favorite, because it's not really my style at all; but it's executed perfectly. Congradulations on an awesome-ass job; and thank you very much for not hurting my ears.

Smalltown Mike> You know that Rancid album, Life Wont Wait.. or London Calling by the Clash? Two of my favorite albums ever, and you just set me on a nostalgia trip for that kind of reggaepunk. This is by far my favorite entry yet. The vocals could be better; but who am I to judge? Although I would recommend mixing them farther back just a teenie bit or, again, a slight echo. VERY GOOD SONG THOUGH.

Son Of Supercar> Oh man, I love Son of Supercar, and this song is freakin' awesome; HOWEVER. The vocals completely put me off. This would make for a cool-ass instrumental track though; that phaser sound just not do it for me.

My favorite: Smalltown Mike
Honourable mention: Son of Supercar, Niveous.

I'll pretend thats not rhetorical. It is in fact a song. You can note the presence of music and some words to go along with that music.

Sha-zam!

The Censorship Committee / Raven Pain :

Totally not OK. Maybe, I this is a *huge* maybe, I wouldn't mind so much if it was actually a good song. But you shat all over your own song with distorted vocals that are WAY too loud, clipping all over the place, and are mostly unintelligible anyway.

Also: FUCK OFF.

So, on the 20th anniversary of my first SF win (shared with Sell Crazy), I'd like to say out loud what I knew at the time but didn't say.

Sell Crazy's song was far better than mine and they shouldn't have had to share their win with me. I was silver at best.
