to do a solo set. (that's ken flagg, btw) there's no excuse to not have a band @ SFL, and maybe having other people on stage will keep you from rambling on about god knows what for six minutes.

2) learn the drums.
Okay.

Google tells me Memorial Day is late May - is that right? A few days before an international dredging conference in Florida

....ding...
It could be vital my state's boating infrastucture that I attend that conference - and hey, why not have a short holiday beforehand!

Don't let Blue get to you, he's just jealous that he didn't get to play on your set, too. ;)

Oh, he didn't get to me. I'm with him. Like I said elsewhere, I had the same thought during ken flagg's set (pertaining to me only, not to the other fine guys with guitars). And I will ask Blue to play on my set if Ken doesn't make it next time. Jealousy can be an ugly thing.

Next year it'll be me and Blue onstage. Blue will hit a snare every time a noun is sung. We will be the weekend's favourites and NO ONE WILL BE ABLE TO STOP US.

:P

I'm recruiting Blue as well, except instead of hitting a snare every time I sing a noun, Blue will kill a puppy.

And next year, I'll play the drums while Blue sings metaphors about ants and genderqueerness.

I will recruit Blue to be on stage during my set to yell "Stop sucking" any time I suck, which will basically be continually.

I hate to burst everybodies bubble, but the Boo-t C3 has a huge tour of Japan during the fall next year and Blue's not going to be able to attend. However we are going to wing on over to London afterward and you're all invited too!

I don’t know,
I thoroughly enjoyed the ambient soundscape that was coming out of charcoals 12 string guitar, and wouldn’t want drums or bass to really get in the way of that type of music.
That’s just me though.

As for my set… it won’t happen again.

Hmm - would be fun to attend next year, but memorial day weekend... I'm still teaching and finals are coming. Too bad it couldn't be when I might be able to turn it into a family vacation.

Oh - and for next year I strongly encourage Blue to do a GnD (Guy and Drum) set.

Well, everybody has commitments on different dates, don't we? That said, nothing is final and it's a long ways off yet. I still have to figure out various logistics, any of which may affect the dates. So cool those jets :)

My main concern is hitting the sweet spot in Vermont as far as weather, bugs, etc. And maple syrup, of course. HELLO SOURDOUGH PANCAKES!
