suggestions for next year

Post by blue »

1) no more guy and guitar sets! you must be at least this talented:

http://www.inecom.com/image/press_room/ ... r_high.jpg edit: sorry blue, I couldn't take it any more. spud.

to do a solo set. (that's ken flagg, btw) there's no excuse to not have a band @ SFL, and maybe having other people on stage will keep you from rambling on about god knows what for six minutes.

2) learn the drums.

uh.. other than that, it was perfect.

I strongly object being associated with Nevada.

Gene Wilder is OK, though.

I just wanna say that, both as an audience member and as a performer, I thought the 15-minute sets (with extensions for doing a # song with Spud) worked out really well. While there were bands I could have listened to for more than 15 minutes, I also enjoyed having a chance to hear so many of my favorite musicians in just two nights, and I would certainly vote for lots of 15-minute sets next time rather than longer sets and some people not getting to play. It was also a good length in terms of pulling together a band with limited rehearsal time before the show.

It seemed like a horribly short set length before the show, but I thought it worked great...

I am bummed to have missed your party, Jack. Sounds like a good time was had. I am at some coin operated internet appliance in the middle of Ireland somewhere so I can't check out the videos and whatnot.

Vermont is beautiful, and only half as far as California for all of the U.K. residents. Green mountains! Cows and cheese! Champy! My other brother Daryl!

If we're going to Vermont, we shouldn't just play a concert, we should establish a songfight co-op/conservatory/whatever. elephant 6 style. mm-hmm.

Yes, and live there forever and ever and do cool shit. Make up new stuff without any outside influence, even.
