I taught the kid across the street how to play guitar about 10 years ago, and he plays guitar in a black metal band. I've seen them a few times, they're really good and their lyrics are hilarious. They don't think so, but I laugh when I hear them screaming about building robot and raping it until it falls apart, lmao!

following the other discussion's conclusions, just call your band MC God B to avoid any confusion with lesser known deities.

Let's see--

1. Pink Moon -- Nick Drake
2. Blue -- Joni Mitchell

3. Something else. Probably something ... with maybe another color in the title.
1. The Nightmare Before Christmas Soundtrack
2. The Beatles - White Album
3. Pink Floyd - The Final Cut (or The Wall or Animals or...)

I'd try to sneak a 4th CD The Cure - Disintigration up my butt or something.

Went down to Sarasota yesterday and had a good time. Would have liked to stay down there longer but my friend's girlfriend wanted to go... so... you know, we had to go.

PEOPLE: One thing to shoot for in life. Don't be the person that is always the first person who wants to go. If you are that person, drive yourself or be willing to get a cab. I can't count how many times my memories are cut short because of somebody else's lack of desire.

Ah, I love Batlle of Mice. They are the Fleetwood Mac of post metal. If you don't know the story- Battle of Mice is the collaboration of Made Out of Babies and The Red Sparrowes, headed up by their lead singers (Julie Christmas and Josh Graham respectively). When Julie & Josh met at SXSW, they hated each other. Then they went on tour together (they're on the same record label). Some how the two fell for each other. The tour ended and they started a long distance relationship but that wasn't working too well. They meet up and decide to make an album as Battle Of Mice. They get in the studio and it's pure hatred again. But they stick it out and make the album. The album includes a 911 call, that's how bad things were/are. Yet they are still willing to try again and make a second album because despite the hate, the music was so good.

Hah! Well, the Nina Nastasia Album I'd potentially take for #3 is called "The Blackened Air" so there you go!

Damn, you're a plethora of info Niv. And after reading that article, your description of "the Fleetwood Mac of post metal" fits them like a glove.

I hope to hear more from both. Maybe that's why I liked Battle of Mice, because you can hear the aggression and energy in those songs. Like I said, the first thing that grabbed me were the drums and guitar. Her voice is what sets it apart from the masses.

It's me and obscurity. Not one of our prouder moments working together. My fault entirely.
