Fucker. Well my bad man, I thought it was just general bitching from some noob. You know how these things get, and you should know I dig your music. Anyway, as usual, you produced another fine song. I seriously dig that Rhodes sound, it brings back a lot of good memories. Congrats on another solid entry, best in the fight in my book.

Heh, thanks.
I don't expect anyone to like my song and I'm not ever going to bitch at anyone directly for not liking it...but I'm really psyched that you do. The rhodes sound is actually just the
mda ePiano, it's free. I created Seoup T. Gei as my dude to learn how to use midi.
Corn on the Cob is full band, Posi Traction is the drunken band with HANK., and Gert is just, well, dirty.
I was just getting way to bored with the thread...anyway...carry on.
I try to behave most of the time. That HANK. though, that HANK. That guy gets me really fired up.

Did he really piss on your amp? If so what kind of amp was it? I could understand if it was like a Johnson or a Squier or something. But if has tubes......
Oh man "That Hank" is right. I would be .....
Well..... pissed.

I just found this out today! I never even knew it...
Yeah it's a Mesa Boogie rectifier with 4 x12 boogie cab. I'm guessing it was just the speakers because I never noticed it....and it's since been sold! But it did sound badass. heheh
I have a Marshall and a Carvin, too, so all is well.
oh, and HANK., Abe left a little surprise somewhere in your drum kit. You'll smell it, before too long...

You freed the shark like you was Abe Lincoln.
In the bass drum, you left it stinkin'
Yeah man, I sharked the snare drum. Was wound tighter than a crackhead's yo-yo.
I've been known to upper-deck in strange places, so look out.

Lissen asshole, I only enter fights every few months because it takes me TWO MONTHS TO MAKE THE DAMN SONG. I care deeply about what I create and I'm certainly not going to turn out shit that only takes a week like the rest of you.
Now grow up.
wait, so you cheat on the fights and spend two months writing a song that isn't even as good as the other songs everyone writes in a week?
you are pretty special.
[edit] did i get trolled?
someone needs an asskicking.
ps: my reviews are the same as hank's.

What?
I thought you was my boy blue! You like the song less because you know it took two weeks?
Actually, it took 3 weeks.
Would you like a song about death more if you knew my dad died? About love if you knew I just got married? The heroicism of the crazed skinny musician by the computer forgetting to eat or shower for days, calling out sick on a friday to finish a mix?
Last time I checked, the 12 tone scale was solidified in the renaissance. You're all cheaters. Suck it up or don't use loops.

well i am with you on the loops, but now you're in the asshat shitbag bucket with jim and all the other people who disrespect songfight's integrity.
it is a special place and it sucks when people fuck with it.

I choose the movies for which these are the soundracks.
Jacob Lynn:
A Michael Moore movie called The Last Days of Free Speech. This is the mix where the samples are mixed lower to allow for dialogue to take place over it. The closing credit mix has the samples front and center so that you can really hear it. the closing credit mix also has a kicking drum beat, and more samples.
Jonas Murdock and the Child Inside
An independent movie on VHS I got from the library (yes, I do that.) The movie opens with this song and a guy in an 80s new wave trench coat black pants and chuck taylors walking down a lonely street. The movie could go either way. It could be shit or it could be really good. I think the song was made by the director (who’s 27) or his brother. I’m going to watch for a while, and if the movie rocks, it’ll probably make me see if the library has the soundtrack for this movie, too. Coincidently, the movie is also called Jonas Murdock and the Child Inside.
Noah McLaughlin
This is also an independent movie on VHS I got from the library. It’s called “Noah.â€

favorites: soup, noah
these are pretty good: jacob, deafsale
has some redeeming elements: jonas
i thought soup was pretty good, but i really liked how it ended. conceptually, i like that a lot.
hey, noah, the guitar plinky bit at e.g. 2:44 sounds a bit too much like the one from "everybody now" and i should know because i heard it a lot

mix it up a bit more!
i'm gonna vote for soup. it may be too late.

hey!
i noticed recently that for the past several months i've been making excuses to myself about being so busy, but at the same time, every night i get home from work and eat dinner while vegging in front of the tv for an hour or two. my new year's resolution is to waste my time slightly more productively. slightly. here goes.
damien verrett - the music is cute. mic pre-amps are our friend.
deaf sale - this is niveous singing isn't it? i like the vocals and music independantly, but i'm not sure they mesh the whole time. like the music is often too busy and the vocals a little too straightforward. after the little guitar breakdown thing at 1:32 it seems to come together better, and i particularly like the last thirty seconds or so.
e equals - for a thirteen-year-old girl singing that "i'll never get over you getting over me" song into a radio shack tape recorder, this is not bad.
jacob lynn - i think you win the award for creating the best song for the title. the wording of the title totally sounds like... whatever genre you'd call this. and i'd probably buy the cd it was on, but after the first three times listening to the cd i'd probably be skipping this track to hear some actual music.
noah mclaughlin - the guitar solo that comes in at 2:38 should replace the first guitar solo, because it sounds better. then you should end the song at 2:38.
pIgpen - awesome. this is the only name in this whole fight that i recognize, and ... yeah, i said it, recognize.
seoup t gei - too many songs here have started out so predictably, either "it's the last day of.." or "it was the last day.." or whatever. yeah that's the title but don't hit me over the head with it. i really prefer how it's worked into the lyrics here. oh yeah. HEY! IF YOU HAVE A SONG IN THIS FIGHT, READ THE BEGINNING OF THIS REVIEW! okay. the broken record wavery music is pretty groovy, but it's the vocal harmonies here that really sold me. nicely nicely.
the wages - vocals good but could use a bit of a kick in the ass. turn up the kick in the ass knob on your vocal processor thingy. then put a mic in front of your guitar amp instead of plugging into the headphone output jack. a full band wouldn't hurt, too, but i don't want to get greedy. pretty cool song nevertheless.
and so, that's it. that was fun. i'd vote for somebody, but it's already 4:30 pm pacific time, so it wouldn't matter. peace out.

And I meant to be mean about it. Pigpen, your shit sucks. And unlike the overly kind Fistula, I can see no day when your shit gets any better.
