The control over the brush doesn't feel very direct, and the brush is very susceptible to sensor jitter which makes most of my gestures mess up badly. They really should have put some sort of adaptive smoothing into it.
Also, the reviews all say that the writing is thoughtful and hilarious but so far all the dialog is just annoying. I've only played it for an hour though (about 45 minutes of that hour has been filled up with annoying cut scenes).
weirdly, I did OK with the PS2 controls. I guess I just got used to screwing up and trying again all the time. But yeah, that's no excuse. Shame the wii version ain't much better.
I wouldn't say it's thoughtful or hilarious much... and yeah, it only lets you skip the cutscenes on the "new game+", which pissed me off, but I dunno, the cutscenes didn't bother me as much as most. The characters are kinda cheap and one-note (get used to hearing nothin but sexual innuendo from the lecherous bug guy)... but in the end I think the plot arc was pretty cool. The game's kinda a lot longer than it leads you to believe.
I dunno, I hope it grows on you or something. It definitely has its flaws, but I think it's still my favorite, uh, zelda game.
