I like all three of these titles very much. Looks like we'll be looking good in hand-me-downs. Maybe just thinking we are but really not :P

Maybe its the wine typing, but our "I Meant To Remember" is just about the saddest thing I can imagine.

Of course, if the wine doesn't finish writing it tonight, it may never happen.

Stupid wine. Giveth the desire but taketh away the ability...something like that.

Perfect for a song title like this...you may have even convinced me to change my mind and write lyrics around this title instead, and it could be about a weekend three weeks ago where I still can't remember why I got kicked out of the Beacon Hill Pub, or how I got home.

Ironically, I now can't remember how our song goes. Or, rather, went.

Stupid wine.

I'm officially on hiatus from SongFight. We're moving at the end of the month and have a bunch of family gatherings going on before that. Something's gotta give. We'll be back in a few weeks.

Aw man! Oh well. I know how that goes, forgetting how the song goes. I do it all the time too, usually have to make sure i write down chords or record just a tiny bit of rough vocal idea or something to remember it. Good luck with your move.

Man, I feel your pain.

I got a MuVo for Christmas, and it's made all the difference. I can capture a roughed-out song idea in seconds, no need to be by the computer and set up a mic and what have you. (The downside being that I now have 30 roughed-out song ideas taunting me to finish them.)

Enjoy the move!

yes. It is frowned upon. From the FAQ - "To maximize Song Fight's resources for everyone who wants to participate, please limit your entries to one song per week."

Slagging off all the titles then entering a song anyway ... slagging off samplers in your review ... now this ... this does not endear you to me, fwiw. (not much I would imagine)

That's a great little toy. I use a minidisc recorder, used to be a cassette tape recorder...anything just to grab that drunken moment of glory! Also have a friend that has an MP3 player with a little mic on it. Similar to the MuVo. Still it seems the ideas worth remembering, tend to stick right to the brain in the form of a one liner or something. I still got the one line I thought up for "Looking good in hand-me-downs" in my head so I think I'm still going with that title.

well... i don't know what "fwiw" means... must be a code name for a tasty desert.

Just so you knew... i have 2 almost complete songs that are full length-"not give up" songs for "get me back" and "meant to remember"... and i will just put in the better of the 2, and i'll make the other available on the board. i also will be writing and aranging the music for someone (new) elses entry.

i also plan on using samples (just to try it) and a bitchin 80's keyboard i just picked up.

The customer reviews on that page are pretty good entertainment.

Most deserts are rather sandy and decidedly not tasty.

This is the preferred method. Many people will still listen to your songs and give reviews of both.
Thanks.

Yes.

Drums and scratch guitars layed down. The missus is gonna write some lyrics, and singing should occur Sunday.

I usually wait till a kick of inspiration hits me like a .44 slug to the sternum at the last minute. I'm still waiting.

so this is the younger brother of 'look good in black'?

'look good in oft-laundered sickly dark grey' perhaps?
