help me choose

Post by Koushirou »

so i'm looking at two dell laptops which are identical except for hard drives. if i get one, i get a 60gb 7200 rpm hd. for the same price i can get a different one with 4200rpm, 40 gb hard drive and get a 100 dollar 100gb 7200rpm hd as well. Is it more beneficial to have the hard drive be all internal, or should i go with the more gigs + external? thanks.

It's a laptop. You're gonna want to carry it. All internal. Worry about external drives later after you start filling that one up.
I'm back.

well i guess my concern is that i could be losing out on a deal to get more gigabytes at the same price (less if i get a cheaper external hd)... and i could just have the most essential stuff on the 40gb and leave the external at home or something... i don't know, do you still think it'll be better to get the better internal hd?

I assume you'll want the flexibility to be able to use it without an external, and 4200rpm ain't gonna cut it for audio production.
