I have a situation regarding my band name and I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts/opinions.

Just make your links to your music easy to remember and follow. Maybe start a company for your music and apparel by getting a fictitious business name with a sock puppet DBA. Then you can open a sock puppet bank account. I don't think it would give you much legal protection for your band name, but it would allow you to send a cease and desist to any company that calls itself sock puppet. And it's free! Something to look into I guess.
