That was a very, very fun show.

All 4 bands sounded pretty dang good! I believe we had just over 100 people in attendance at the show, so we should have had at least $1,000 that we raised for Alex and Brian's bills.

I wish I had gotten some audio or video for y'all. Ken joined the Half Racks on stage for "Sounds of Chrysler", and wasn't I just surprised as hell to see SPUD at the ticket counter, purchasing tickets.

That's right! Spud, Amy, and Spudnut were in attendance at the Notes of Hope benefit! They're still here in Spokane for this afternoon, and we are hoping to get them involved in our super duper collab with Ken, Rachael, and the Half Racks... Maybe even to get Spud to play some bagpipes for the track... like he did on the stage at the Big Easy last night.

Some of the bad news... Our Benefit CD's did NOT arrive in time. We are going to have about 425 CDs to sell at this point, through online, and any other means that we can.

Furthermore: Spud and Ken's involvement in the whole Notes of Hope project has convinced me of one other thing. Rachael and I NEED to be in Boston however we can be.

So it's like this, folks. I am asking for your money in two seperate ways. Both involve CD's

ONE:

NOTES OF HOPE: A BENEFIT FOR ALEX AND BRIAN

$10 Details on how to purchase the CD are here

http://glenncase.songhole.org/notes

TWO:

AN ALBUM I HAVEN'T EVEN STARTED CREATING YET

Rachael and I need to be in Boston for Songfight Live... That is all there is to it. If you would like to see us in Boston? We honestly could use your assistance. Please send paypal donations to:

ollyfan@yahoo.com

Please mention Boston in the notes area, so we know what the payment is for. I would normally never dream of asking more than say $7 for a CD of my material... I am going to ask for like $10 this time... and I will do what I can to make it worth your money.

Discs will be hand-crafted.. it won't be anything fancy in the artwork department or CD case department... Think "TDK CD with a label sticker on it, and some front and back artwork that were probably cut with scissors". We're working with an obvious budget here.

I am up for a collab or two on the disc as well. We will see how it progresses.

ROCK!

Glenn put on a fabulous event last night. The crowd, the bands, and even the venue were really into supporting the boys, and it added to the energy of the whole thing.

It was fun to surprise Glenn, and just about as fun to walk on stage playing the bagpipes later. We ordered our CD, and I urge you to do the same. A lot of people have put a lot of work into this thing, and it makes their efforts all the more worthwhile if we all chip in.

Looking forward to both of the new CDs.

Hey All,

Ken here, reporting from Spokane WA. Glenn and Rachael have been wonderful hosts. I urge you all to visit them in Spokane. It's a nice town. The show was great, and all four bands put on a tight show. Everyone involved was very nice from the bands, to the staff, to Glenn and Rachael's friends and family.

We picked up the CDs yesterday. Fed Ex gave us one box and couldn't find the other four for about 20 minutes. They didn't even realize there were four boxes. They gave us one and sent us on our way. It wasn't until we opened them up and realized there was no way that box had 500 CDs in itthat we went back in to ask for the rest.

Speaking of the CD. They look and sound great. Have you ordered one yet? 18 awesome tracks. Get to it!

I'm here for a few more hours, and there is a lot of fun stuff to do yet.

Be well,
Ken

I got the CD today. It is the awesome, quality radiates from most of the tracks. And the Butch Walker cover: bonus! Best benefit CD I've got yet. Thanks to all those involved, who obviously put tons of hard work into the project.

If you haven't bought it yet, please reconsider.

I just got mine this afternoon. I agree with Plat, this is awesome. My case got smashed in the mail unfortunately :( But the cover art looks very good, and the whole thing is very professional looking. All of the tracks rock, and it's good to hear so many talented people putting their music on the CD.

Good job, Glenn, as well as everyone that worked on it.

Plat and Bjam:

Thank you BOTH for buying the CD, and for each reporting that you recieved yours (Sorry about the case, Bjam :( I bubble wrapped it, even, but I guess these things happen sometimes)

At any rate: PLENTY of benefit CDs to be sold, and with NINE days left until Rach and I need to be on a plane to Boston? Boston is looking less and less likely ($65 in the donations area at the moment)!

Heck, your chances of getting the disc for the cost of shipping and the making of the disc are getting better by the day. I will only offer this CD for 9 more days, however... The whole idea will be to get Rach and I to Boston, and as I have said? If we aren't in Boston? Your money WILL be refunded (minus shipping/cost of CD)

SO: Here we go with the main message yet again:

Mine arrived this morning, and though I haven't heard it all yet, what I have heard is stellar.

Props to Puce for the mastering. Great job. And the cover is top notch too. My hat is doffed to all involved.

If you haven't ordered one yet DO IT NOW!

i thought the mastering job etc. made the album feel nice and cohesive, considering the different sources for each song!
