Original Flava Video Coverfight
Hey All,
I know we just started Nur Ein, but to get us excited about Song Fight Live: Denver I wanted to see if folks would be interested in Video Coverfight again.
Here are the details:
For those who are unfamiliar, an Original Flava Coverfight is where Songfighters cover the songs of their fellow Songfighters. The way this works is that folks post here that they're "in." After some period of time, the covermaster (me) will covertly message you with the randomly selected name of someone else who signed up. It's then up to you to pick which of that person's songs you want to put your own unique spin on. Make a video of that song. Submit it by the deadline.
In order to participate in this, you will need to have at least one song, preferably more, present in your artist archive. It's fine to use any artist/band you've materially participated in. Suggest these when post that you are "in."
I was thinking about having sign ups until June, then using much of June for everyone to make their cover/video with a late June Livestream on Youtube.
Sound good? Who's in?

Sure why not. Anything Phlub or Phlebia is me. Old stuff is under a variety of different names.

I'm in.
Sockpuppet songs are probably the best choices but old-ass fluffy porcupine songs and I guess <3 would also be fair game, plus that one time I did the self-collab as "so<kpupp3t"

I'm not seeing a lot of interest here. Do the few folks who signed up here want to continue?

Re: Original Flava Video Coverfight
Somehow I didn't notice this string until today.
I'm in if this is still happening.
Jerkatorium most places.
Matchy Matchy sometimes in Nur Ein and SpinTunes.

Re: Original Flava Video Coverfight
Nudging this forward if people are interested. Nur Ein is over (Congrats Moss Palace!) SF LIve is next weekend and ST should be a few months off.
So, there should be time to organize this now and have the songs/video in by mid August/early September? Perhaps tied in with the SF LIve online show if that comes together.
in any case BYD is in!
