Tapegerm Collective is a looping and mixing collective that is celebrating their 5th year with a special event: 24 HOUR FLU.
Please come with us and make some awesome fresh music and have a nice stay at Tapegerm.com with this special 24 hour happening! 24 Hour Flu is a special event that is intended as a online festival with lots of live mixing, looping and hanging around. We will use our loop pool that will be made especially for this event. Whether you prefer contributing with an "offline" mix, make loops for everyone to use, or do a live stream, you are welcome to join us! After the 24 Hour Flu Tapegerm plans to release an mp3 album with mixes from both the live streaming and offline mixing.

kamakura did an excellent "offline" song with the 24hf loops.
and he stayed up until very late his time! thanks a lot :)

Absolutely! I had no idea until last night that you could actually play live and stream it... I knew it could be done at huge expense, but not from a home pc.
Surely this should be used for a live global songfight event. Each venue with a pc, a broadband connection and a feed off the desk.
It would need a lot of organisation from the pov of time zones, but it's got to be the future. Or am I waffling?

for many people it's harder to do... my setup is reasonably compact since i don't have a drum-kit, and i don't need to mic guitars and all whatnot. i can run my computer out and all my instruments out through my mixer, and i didn't do anything with live vocals this time (so i didn't need to worry about mic-bleed or anything like that)... i guess it all depends on how much complexity you're wanting to have :)
