I Hate You just screams for a power chorus. I think I'm in.

I, on the other hand, am tempted to obey all the laws. Once I find some worth obeying. Suggestions welcome

Is there some red-letter day coming up related to blood? All I see on my calendar is Japan's "Ocean Day."

my song is already done (Obey all the laws)! but it's very different so i submitted it under a different name. Kama Sutra. a sort of keyboard fuck around, if you will.

Another shower tune. Obey all the laws. I have to get pen and paper ready before each shower.

So I wrote my "Obey all the Laws." and as I've been doing with my songfight! songs, I let the song take me where it wanted to go genre-wise. But I recorded several of the tracks, it's going fine, but I'm like, "Crap - it's a lounge song! I wouldn't listen to this!"

What to do? I'm tempted to just strip down to GnG (which is what I generally do) and let the song speak for itself.

What do you folks suggest?

If you normally 'let the track take you', then you have to go with it no matter what. Otherwise you're not being true to your muse.

Submit it. Or master both versions and link to the alternative.

That's one of the great things about SongFight: genre experimentation. Go for the lounge, I say; I'd like to hear it.

I will be hating you (singular), but even if I was just commanding that you obey the laws, it would probably sound like I was just hating you... so.. ya. Wait for it.

We've got some acoustic twang in the works for "Obey All the Laws". I hope this fight becomes as genre-diverse as this thread suggests... lounge... triangle... do I hear polka? anyone for math-grind? 8)
