I Know My Rights - thehipcola
I dial in your frequency, can't make out the line
What did you find out there? The world is unfair.
Place that knowledge in your bag..don't know how to proceed?
Angry stirrings, a grumbling crowd... the Power makes you loud.
Why can't we see? Life in this small country
is not what it seems-it's rotten to the core.
Power corrupts those who wield it...absolutely
This could be you and me, but thankfully, I know my rights.
Ham (radio) in my hand, silent I crawl.
10 days since you flew away(got away, broke free)
Couldn't get your signal today (?), my hunger, hope, need: you're ok, and we two/too will be free...someday
Why can't we see? Life in this small country
is not what it seems-it's rotten to the core.
Power corrupts those who wield it...absolutely
This could be you and me, but thankfully, I know my rights.
In 1949 the armed forces of China invaded Tibet. Over 1 million Tibetan people have since died as a result of this occupation and its policy bent on destroying Tibetan culture. There are now over 120,000 Tibetan refugees living abroad.
They know their rights.
