It seemed like a step up from the recordings from Boston.Bjam wrote:Pringle Can
Omg! Ahh! I think this mic may have commited suicide after recording this. Get some decent production on this. Holy crap. Man. It doesn't sound like too bad a song, but, wow, production issues and then totally cutting out? Ow.
Thanks for the review! Scary was the objective of my totally hardcore friend Mr. Brass Candle (aka. Asa), otherwise this weeks song would have probalby turned out to be another sappy love song.Bjam wrote:Those whispered "I know my rights" are pretty damn scary. This song is pretty damn scary too. That's just personal genre bias though, screamy does nothing for me except in certain conditions.
The accent would be kind of a german one.Bjam wrote:Exoticorn
This is kinda nice. The vocals are very kinda roomy. Where's your accent from? This would be really good as a kind of rock power ballad.

I actually like this song a lot, but I don't really understand how the Sonic theme fits with the title... maybe it's just too deep for me. Also, the vocals sound a little muffled, and sound like maybe you were singing too low in your range? My friends actually applauded for the "Sega!"

Oh, your talking accent's so nice!
Yeah, the drummer has to clean up his kick drum to lock in with the bass, and my singer sucks for holding back and sliding around on pitch. The guitarist's ego got in the way of editing, so he goes on and on...you know those jam band freaksexoticorn wrote:Hey, welcome to the review threads, and great stuff for being first!!!
Roymond: I think the timing of the bass is slightly off. A well written song. The singing could do with a little bit more power. Great guitar solo.
I hope it's just you, BBjam wrote: Roymond
The vocals remind me of a kinda Spandau Ballet thing, but I think that might be just me.
Thanks. I think I got carried away by the groove, which I dig, too, but still it needs to be trimmed down to like 4 minutes. Sorry about that. I hope to post a remix on somesongs by Friday.Bjam wrote: By the end of the song I've gotten into the song and am grooving away in my chair again. The guitar solo is very ncie. This is nice, but it just has nothing to quite grab me enough.
Thanks for the review, as always I like the recorded reviews. It kind of adds a personal touch that you don't get from simply reading a review. Very cool indeed.Jim of Seattle wrote:Here are my recorded reviews.
Ani DiFranco? I hear that I sound like so many different people every week. And, yeah, I'm 15, a young'un. But future potential is good. I've only played guitar properly for the last... 15 months or so, so I'm working on chords. Slowly but surely. Also, the chords I kinda just shoved down for SFL an hour or so before I went, so that's why it's not quite so interesting. Thanks for the reviewJim of Seattle wrote:Here are my recorded reviews.
It's just the accent. I have a thing for Australian accents. (Hugh Jackman? Yes please.)Caravan Ray wrote:Nice!?!
I was trying to sound all tough and hard and menacing and stuff - perhaps even with an underlying hint of raw animal sexuality.
Ooh, see, I knew it was something. I should've just looked at your location. Silly me.exoticorn wrote:The accent would be kind of a german one.![]()
This is the most helpful review I've ever gotten. You rule. As far as "Jute Gyte" goes, yeah... he is probably the reason I did this song in the first place. He made sure SongFight's ears were already devirginised. (My reviews to follow.)Jim of Seattle wrote:Southwest Statistic
