We're walking hand in hand through a society
That inherently deemphasizes stability
You'll be okay, sweet thing, just as long as you're with me
I'll be all right as well if that condition is met

Sometimes I ponder just how we got this far
I can kill entire species from the comfort of my car
But it'll be okay, show me the way to the next whiskey bar
Belly up, little girl, we'll share a cigarette

It makes me wonder if we understand the rules to this game
What I really mean is let's blow this scene; it's getting pretty lame

We're living in a society that's a student body, perpetually
Three credits shy of its degree
