I've been using Cyberduck lately to SCP files around. It supports FTP too.

So far it's been pretty faithful to me, however its drag-and-drop support sometimes thinks I want to upload the same file twice at the same time. It could just be me or my version, though, and I haven't tried its FTP capabilities. Open source.

These guys make really great apps. I used their ftp client a loooong time ago. I don't know what the difference is between the trial and the purchased version, though, or whether the trial expires or something:

There's an FTP client in Terminal you know. If you dig command lines.

I've always used fetch, and never had any need to look for something better. I think version 4 is free, or something like that.
