Patti Smith

Saw Patti Smith last night at the Garden, and she rocked! She also came out with the band after her and they did Lennon's "Instant Karma" together. The place was alive, except for the young guy behind me who didn't know what song it was nor who she was (he had come late). Pretty funny cause he felt so left out - the whole stadium was screaming the lyrics and he was all confused.

she was playing a concert at house of blues when i was down in new orleans... we went to eat there, and they have the concert on monitors in the restaurant part, so i got to hear it. sounded good... that was in 2000.

Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised by her show, warming up for U2, who were predictably strong once the sound got sorted out.
