Silly effect, drive thru window

Post by cochise »

Greets and happy new year. I'm looking to fake a drive thru window effect on some vocals, just so it has that sorta drive thru sound, but nothing seems to be any good. Thoughts, filters, advice? Thanks much

Resonant filter.

Such a thing comes packaged with your average pirate of Acid 4.0. There are a couple useful presets with it, and you can get a reasonable sounding phone sound, and I imagine you can tweak it a bit to get what you're looking for.

Maybe resonant filter + bit crusher, for a truly gritty sound.

Edit: And theeeennnnn?

Cyanide 2.0 will definitely do what you want, if you can't get what Sober said to work.

Awesome, I got the sound I was looking for, thanks. I dropped some elbows in my eq and pasted in a squawk from a cb radio and it's all good. Sounds barely audible, just like an 80s Taco Bell drive thru
