St. Hxaro

Post by blue »

screw you, dude. a hxaro for someone with no credibility, who has never even done a cover for anyone else, and who has *redacted* god-fucking-awful "songs" to his name?

no way. that is just BS. your ploy is as sad as it is obvious.

Nothing personal Rone. You've just done nothing (besides lose, and you haven't really done that alot) to earn it. And whoever started this little IM campaign to try to play my idea can as blue so eloquently put it, piss off.

you should all be expecting pissed-off PMs shortly. :P

i guess, strictly speaking, doing a hxaro for someone who doesn't "deserve" it is exactly in the spirit of the thing - if you believe that these group-hxaro things are in the spirit of the thing, which i don't. :D

funny that the former hxaro santa outed the hxaro-ee! how RUDE you are, santa.

I must have missed something, why is there a thread dedicated to flaming me? That has to be against some sort of board rule.
From spoken word to actual singing, I can screw up any style with style. :D

Whatever. You're entitled to your opinion. Obviously, alot of fine folks don't agree with you as evidenced by their participation. I don't know what you think the "spirit of the thing" is, beyond paying tribute to someone. Do you think I have some ulterior motive beyond this? I've never taken "real" credit for it, because that's not what it's about. Maybe your "spirit of the thing" has some hidden agenda attached to it, but I'm not sure why you feel the need to disparage an idea that is based in good will and embraced by so many others.

(shrug)

Also, there is more than one of us. I only speak for me, not the other(s).

the spirit of the thing being "a thing freely given." my issue with the group hxaro is that it is more like a press-gang coverfight than a "true" hxaro. it shouldn't need to be something people are rounded up for.

if i did have an ulterior motive, it was probably that i thought you were JoS. :D

Group Hxaro makes me feel sad because I never get invited to participate. Like Rudolph, whom, you may recall, was a reindeer with an unusually red nose. I mean, I know I make songs that aren't much fun to listen to, but I still might like to be part of a tribute to someone who I think is cool, you know?

I bet lots of folks have their feelings hurt when they see a new surprise-hxaro-fight that they weren't cool enough to be invited to. Hxaro is mean! It makes people cry!

This might have been a lot funnier if August 1rst came around and there were no covers.

At the very least, it would have been less annoying.

As for accusing Rone of being St. Hax... That was the FIRST thing I thought...and I am apparently not alone in that thought apon discovering this thread. It just seems like the most possible possibility. I mean, I'm guessing Rone may have a fan or two...but who would actually think of a Rone R. cover fight - Hey, we could be wrong...it wouldn't make the idea any better.

Ok, this is my last post.

I hear what you're saying Mr. Bzl, and it's I guess it's a conditional hazard with the game. It's pretty hard to make something secret if you advertise for it. The most recent secret hxaro (for Glenn) was open to anyone, and I posted an open invitation about it. The first of these started out small, and yes the people might have been cherry picked but they also happened to be people that I knew, worked with, etc. beforehand. When my alter egos started doing them the list grew, and I wasn't even involved in who participated. But the idea and good intent was always the same. I understand blue's point, but sometimes people need a kick in the ass and someone to organize. That's pretty much all I'm doing here.

It's certainly not meant to be exclusionary, and in some ways I think it's run it's course. It's not to say that I'll never want to organize another one of these, as I can think of a few deserving folks, but it was never intended to be a regular thing. It was never really intended to be more than a one time thing actually.

Anyways, I'm retired. Good night.

Oh no, I am wondering now if the St. Hxaro was not being genuine! I was actually listening to Rone music trying to think of what I was wanting to do for it and now this thread makes me very sad u_u but it is probably for the best because I do not think that any of his music can be made into a very good song so! I guess I am not too upset that blue is being poopy.

the "b" stands for "ben." If I wasn't all liquored up, like I am every day, I'd be pretty upset. But, yeah, I'm not really all bothered by people being nice to each other, or anything, so, um, keep up the good work.
