Billy Preston

Very shocked when I just saw a headline that Billy Preston died. Met him 2 years ago at a Beatles Convention, didn't seem old at all & he was full of energy. He rocked out big time that night. Very stunned...

His best known recordings are 'Will it Go Round in Circles' & 'Nothing From Nothing' though he should be best remembered for writing Joe Cocker's huge hit 'You Are So Beautiful (To Me)'

RIP Billy Preston

When Evil-E and I were in a band in college he wrote a very persuasive letter to Billy Preston asking him to play in our band. I'm not sure if it was ever sent, but Billy certainly never responded.
