mine is in. already. i feel like some kind of n00b overachiever, but recording live for a GnG song is really easy: two mics, a guy, his guitar and a short ditty... ta da!

it's very simple, but i'm quite satisfied with this tune - heavy melodic reference to dar williams for some reason this time 'round.

I was wondering if any of the producer/mixer/master afficionados out there would mind listening to my song and lending some advice before posting day. PM me if you'd be interested.

I knew that GnG wouldn't work for the lyrics I came up with, so I didn't bother with the live thing. I did, however, keep the first take of nearly everything, so it's sorta like live I guess.

I'm in the process of recording mine and I'm alive while I'm doing it.

I composed one yesterday morning and performed it without any practice or even any idea what chords/melody I'd have that night. Hopefully recordings of the livefight will surface. Otherwise I'll record a better studio version instead.

All Tan is getting the Rone treatment. Most of this song's lyrics are sung, only a litlte bit are 'Roned'. Hope you enjoy it and take it lightheartedly as it's intended. :P
From spoken word to actual singing, I can screw up any style with style. :D

Primitive Screwheads have submitted their Live Fight entry. Slightly trimmed and twiddled of course (thank you Ken for posting the audio!)... fear our jazzy natures!

I've re-mixed my live entry. Jefff and Mojo have provided backing vocals. Lots of backing vocals. It's much, much better now.

I'm in.

Anyone else have this problem - you come up with a song concept that is just too friggin' hard to pull off?

We started working on a "studio" (aka my dining room) version of the song on Sunday evening before my sister left town the next day. So, in lieu of Saturday's live fight version, The BeWells are in with a new recorded entry.

I'm in with the SFL version. Part of this is because I lost both sheets that my chords were on. I have the lyrics on my PC, but no chords. And hey, I just can't recreate spectacular rock on the spot.

Some of you have not sent in an entry from the live fight. If you're not aware, these recordings are NOT AUTOMATICALLY ENTERED. You have to send it in to fightmaster like any other fight.

A re-record would be silly for mine. Jeff's skilled vocals are my secret weapon.

Entry submited.
