Need a harmonica player, stat!

Post by mc_frontalot »

Hi folks!

Is anybody's superpower rhythm harmonica? I need a couple crappy public domain samples replaced with bluesy awesomeness, with speeeedy turnaround. It is for my new album.

Please write me an email if you are interested.

cheers
mcf

I'm not allowed to do this, but I elect Doug Cheatwood (the first song on that playlist features his harmonica stylings). Who I now realize is only linked to the community by the most filamentary of threads (he recently removed all his somesongs submissions). However, some quick googling suggests that it takes significantly less than six hops to get from him to you, assuming you exclude Kevin Bacon.

I'm aware that this is only my fever-dream, but know this: if you somehow do get Doug Cheatwood to play harmonica on your album, all my organs will burst at once. With joy.

true enough, I have a harmonica. But my superpower would surely be the inability to put any of the instruments I own to good use.

Also, my track record for getting things done for you sits at a hefty Success 0 - Failure 1 rating.

Do you want hardcore stylin? Because I can play harmonica, but I wouldn't say I'm a member of Blues Traveller.

Yes - Tex Beaumont has only the highest quality harmonica players in his Dirty Hearts.

Lee Harvey Oswald has all my harmonica albums. Also, I was the last person to see Anna Nicole Smith alive (private engagement, good money).

H. P. Lovecraft tried to rock the chromatic harmonica before he turned to writing as a career. Fear the unholy power of the harmonica.

I know this super badass old lady who could do some badass harmonica for you, and I'll even be seeing her next week, if I recall correctly, and I could ask her if she'd dig. I have a decent enough recording setup, but I'm balls at mastering, so you'd be responsible for that end of it. But man, who doesn't want a totally awesome grandma playing harmonica for them?
Am I rockin' hard, or hardly rockin'?
