I hope the deadline is 4/23/08 because that's the worst title ever.

What are excuses #1 and #2? Also... I wasn't really listing it as an excuse per se... I still intend to submit something.

This may well be the most easily abbreviatable title ever. With over sixty thousand titles in songfight!'s three centuries of existence, that is some accomplishment.

You can't beat Evan Is Getting His Teeth, which is abbreviatable to 1 character.

But that character is not particularly evocative of the full title! Oh well, it's still in the Top Ten; or so I hope.

Pre-existing songs are not eligible for submission to the current week's songfight, pursuant to the Songfight bylaws, Clause 5, Sub-Paragraph d.
For a full copy of the Songfight Bylaws, send $4.95 and a self-addressed stamped envelope to SF Bylaws, Pueblo, Colorado.

Also: I like this title, and I hope I come up with something for it.

You'll have to talk to Maurice, my lawyer, about this. And I know what he'll say: Heh!
Heh! Heh! Heh!

Damn, I started writing something, hoping I could get a head start for a busy week, and just fit the title in, but it is not going to work at ALL.

However, that's a nice deadline, so I'll work on it. Maybe Pipefist can enter.

Announcing that the song was not written for the title, but you "fit the title in" later pretty much guarantees you won't get my vote.
