Wakey wakey!

Good show last night. The crowd was real cold at first, but I won 'em over by the end. Made good tips, and stopped for a 30-pack of Gennessee Cream Ale. The gas station nearby is one of the very few places I've found that has that stuff. It's the best cheap beer I've ever had.

This morning is Tee Ball with Andy. Then I'm dropping him off at a birthday party, and I don't know what after that. No shows. Maybe an Album-A-Day this weekend?

QOTD: Let's say, for the sake of argument, that the drinks are on me. What'll you have?

As for me, if I'm on stage, make it a Diet Coke. Afterward I'll take a Guinness, thanks.

Seems kind of lonely here, Jim. Since you're buying, I'll join you for a pint of Guiness. I'll buy the second, we can flip for thirds. After that, it may begin to stop mattering. One of these days, this will actually happen-as long as I don't have to drive.

That's a good one Jim. I'm a creature of habit when I go to the bar. If I'm in the mood for beer, I'd probably get a Newcastle Brown or a Summit (local brew) or maybe the seasonal Leinenkugel's (made in Wisconsin). I do still love Sierra Nevada Pale too. If I'm in the mood for booze, I would get a vodka and cranberry juice. If you're buying, I'd probably make it a double! :)

Last night, after the kids went to bed, Phil and I watched the History Channel 30 year anniversary Star Wars show. It was awesome! I like Star Wars, but I'm not a huge fan. But this show really put it in terms I can understand. They had interviews with PhDs talking about Star Wars as a classic myth, a hero's journey. It was really good. If you didn't watch it or record it, I suggest finding it somehow and watching it.

Against Me would have me understand that pints of Guiness makes you strong, but I don't have time for beer on stage.

Stage: Shots of Jack Daniels
Hot Summer day in Tampa: Gin & Tonic
Normal day in Tampa: Rum & Coke
Favorite Beer: Mackison XXX
Favorite cheapy: Rolling Rock (or Amber Bock)

I hate working two jobs.

Depends on where we are, Jim. I associate drinks with places.

I drink Mac and Jack's African Amber when I'm at the Virginia Inn, which I usually am.

However:
Manny's Pale Ale at Smarty Pants in Georgetown near the new house.
Becks Dark in a bottle at the Bistro in the Market.
Guiness at the Easy Street in Wallingford.
Red Hook's Long Hammer I.P.A. at the Shilshole Bay Beach Club.
I'll have a Bloody Mary if we're having brunch or waiting for a flight.
Of course, if we're south of the border, I'm a sucker for a Margarita.

Skol!

Nostalgia demands I ask for a John Bull (Eng.) or a Superior (Mex.), but it's been so long since I've had either, I could've edited that they tasted like piss out of my memory.

So just toss me one of them there Jennys, Jim, and we're jake.

I also tend to drink to my regional surroundings. I love to try all the local micro brews when I'm on vacation. But I'm a simple Bacardi and Coke with a twist of lime, kind of guy.
But Jim is buying and he's having a Guinness, so I'll have a Black and Tan.......or 3.

I haven't started on my round 4 song yet
I always start with my acoustic guitar
So I'm lost at the moment
I'm going to have to just write it with my guitar, then pull it out later
That's the only way I can do it

There is a beer brewed in Austin called Bootlegger, which is awesome. It is dark and delicious, and I would like one.
Am I rockin' hard, or hardly rockin'?

Thanks to the Roll Call today I'm enjoying some refreshing Leinenkugle's Summer Shandy. It's very different and lemony. Tastes pretty good and it will get the job done!

Man, I really like variety, so that really depends on my mood, but since I had this sampling of 4 beers already tonight I will choose a wine. Ok Cinnabar Merlot. I'll be expecting you around shortly.

Bacardi and Pernod. I'm not sure what the official recipe for making such a drink would be, but if you mix 'em half and half over ice, it only takes one to get the job done.

So I was at the church last night for the youth group "lock in" and got to play Guitar Hero II. Very cool. I was there as one of the "responsible adults," although the guy in charge told me this morning that he and his wife had decided I was actually just the 21st kid... in any case, no sleep last night, managed to squeeze in a couple two-hour naps today and am really hoping to sleep well tonight and get caught up. Also got some laundry and housecleaning done today, went over and made lunch at my mom's and took care of some things. The Mrs. picked up the foster dog at the vet's, who was in high spirits after a night of rest following his little operation.

Sleep. Now.

I dont drink hardly ever......well not any more anyway. Lessons have been learned

The last time I drank was at a Love gig.... (Arthur Lee has died since....sad) I have no memories after 7and7 is..... seriously nothing, till I woke up im a mates house with Moses, my girlfriend, shouting at me. How she found me I'll never know. I still remember nothing. Zero. Ziltch. Nada.
The time before I was arrested on attempted murder charges.... I didnt do nothing, well, I was involved in a fracas. But I didnt do nothing so thus I got let off. No caution or fine or nothing.... Pled not guilty and my plea was accepted. Thank Christ.

Like I say I learned my lesson... no alcohol for me.... Im too much of a pisshead

Tho my drink of choice is/was Bulgarian Cabernet with a vodka in the top
failing that any red wine, with the obligatory vodka

Hungarian Bulls Blood with Smirnoff Blue label.... Yowser... now thats what Im talking about
