A Very Long Engagement/Un long dimanche de fiançailles

I liked it. I really liked it, in fact. It was better than "Amelie," though it shares at least three cast members, plus a director, and probably a DP and other nonsense. I found it to be mildly tiresome in the middle-cum-end, but overall it was very pleasant to watch.

Just saw it. It met my high expectations. It's basically Le Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain meets Saving Private Ryan, only set in WWI. Gorgeous. Jodie Foster was a pleasant surprise. My only complaint is, well, it's an aptly titled film.

Also, there are several well done sex scenes, involving one or two people. It's refreshing to see the former in a movie that is not a bad high school / college comedy.
