I listened to a couple of the songs, and didn't enjoy them very much. He rambles, and his hooks are ill defined because of that.
I looked through the PDF, and again he rambles, and his instructions are like his hooks.
I wouldn't use this as a reference personally, but if anyone else cares to have a look I will allow you to have your own opinion.
Now, if Billy Corgan wrote a method book for melodies I'd read that for sure. Or Neil Diamond. Or Frank Caravella. Or Jeff Fal. Heh.
