I have a great suggestion for a venue for a night of acoustic sets in Long Beach.

We will probably going to NY some time later this year (your spring probably). That may involve a stop-over in LA (at least - I may be able to argue for one if necessary). Keep me in the loop.

Oh...and Songfight! NYC anyone?

Yes, another NYC party for sure. Ben books a great venue.

On a related note, we're planning on visiting your part of the world within the year...or so. North of Brisbane. Perhaps we'll make it down to NZ.

I've updated the thread title to be more specific, and to better match up with what my original intent was in creating this thread. How about a new thread for discussing another SF Live NYC? I'm not trying to rain on your parade, just trying to keep the topics organized.

I've got two thoughts on the subject:

1. If there is a West Coast tour, how about the week of March 23-27?

2. Instead of a West Coast Tour, how about one big Live8 style event where we put on a bunch of different shows in different areas on the same day? This way, more people could be involved, even if you just rock out in your living room that night.

I like the support of other songfighters that the tour concept engenders. It's a blast to share the stage with those Screwheads, and it wouldn't happen if we all put on our own shows on the same night. Just my two cents.

Perhaps a West Coast tour, and some simultaneous shows in other parts of the country/world? So shows in LA and NYC, SF and the UK (can't remember what city those folks have done that in), Seattle and Atlanta, etc.?

Also, that week sounds OK to me.

I was trying to pair up regular West Coast tour stops (like LA, SF, Seattle) with other possible non-West Coast cities where there could be "simultaneous" (same calendar day, at least) events.

West Coast Tour Vs. East Coast Tour. (Vs. Europe Tour? Vs. Australia Tour?!)

This sounds wonderful.

The global resonances this would created are frightening! Will Spud jet around the world like Phil Collins to appear at them all?
