I was telling a friend about joining Songfight and how, for reasons I've gone into in other threads, it broke me out of a long creative slump. She's into writing as much and I'm into music, and she asked me if there was something like Songfight, but for short stories. Something like that, she thinks, could be just the thing to help her writer's block. I told her I'd check.
I'm know there's Stripfight.org for comic strips, and NaNoWriMo seems like the equivalent of FAWM, so what's the equivalent of this place for writers?
Like Songfight, but for fiction writers?

Textfight seems closest but there are a number of sites mentioned here related to her want.

Re: Like Songfight, but for fiction writers?
A former Songfighter used to run an official Writefight at http://writefight.org , but stopped updating it a while back. These days, it appears, he's let the domain name expire. Can't say I blame him; without updates, the already-slow traffic stopped altogether. I kinda miss it.
If there's enough interest, I might be persuaded to host another attempt at Writefight. I've got enough webspace, and the domain doesn't even appear to be taken by one of those sleazy investors who buy up domains and use them as ad space until they can resell them.

Thanks for the links, I'll pass them on. Too bad Writefight never took off, it looks perfect.
