You saved the good titles for Nur Ein on purpose, didn't you?

I'd like to record something for this, but Nur Ein comes but once a year, and I missed the first three. We'll have to play it by ear. Maybe I'll get something done between the deadline and the next title.

Are you going to play the *whole thing* by ear? Even the whistling? Impressive.

Could someone explain to me what the "optional challenge" means? Do we have to incorporate the theme of "rejection letter" into the main theme of "Sorry to Inform You" as one song, or do we (optionally) do two separate songs - one for each theme?

One song. The optional challenge relates to the song "Sorry to Inform You". It is optional.

I'll prolly not participate this week... I need to work on just getting better all around, so I don't think I'll waste your time this week. I'm planning on working on other stuff that doesn't have to be forced out of me. Maybe I'll post my myspace if I record anything new.

Idk, just not feeling it this week

You found that fast... thanks Nigel. The siren call of Nur Ein is going to keep me out of it this week, so at least I could contribute something.

Holy linguini: if* I can make my entry for this title sound anything like the thing in my head, you all better run for cover. HM is going to bring it!

I don't have any proper recording equipment or verses.

But I have a chorus.

Dollar Bill & the Inkpoints w/ a special guest is working on this one... hopefully we can get it done.
In other news, for some reason I was convinced that the title was "We Regret to Inform You" instead of "Sorry to Inform You"... good thing j$ is paying attention.

You can always post the words for donation... sometimes people will record your song.

I thought about doing that - but my plans for the weekend fell through last night, so now it looks like I might be in anyway.

I have one a really simple RxW-ish idea for this and I need to get around to recording it. I have no excuse this time.

I put away the electric guitar for this fight, since everyone was making the acoustic songs seem so fun.
And I added a count at the beginning, because I'm a wannabe.
If I had a dollar for every one of my songs j$ has called a 90s pastiche, I'd have $1 for every song I've written.

I really liked Paco's lyrics, but I didn't get to them, and I would undoubtedly make a song worse than his, anyway. There's still time, but I've already recorded five songs today, so I'm pretty much done, plus I'm really tired and I still have real responsibilities to attend to now.

I seem to be optimizing my submissions. This one I squeezed into two and a half hours, including writing, about 370957831 botched takes, and the final takes (some may argue that they're botched, too). My personal challenges this time: chord progressions that I wouldn't normally use, and a song that has a (sort of) positive message to go along with the title. I think if I had skipped the first of those challenges, the final song would have been much lighter... I think I might hate the final lyrics in a couple of weeks or months. Perhaps days, depending on the reviews. ;)
