TOnight I'll be attending the "Smogdance" film festival in Pomona California. It includes the premier of another short film I wrote music for. It's fun to feel slightly famous for a few minutes.

QOTD:What is the most famous you've ever felt?

QotD: It's right now. My name is on a poster for my show tomorrow, and it's the first time my name (not a band name, not a group name, not an organization's name) is on a poster.

Congrats you guys, that's really cool. :)

QotD: I was at the airport, and a gal sitting across from me said "Hey, aren't you in (now defunct local band)? I saw you guys open for Shooter Jennings last night." So okay, she turned out to be a good friend of our lead singer, but I felt pretty famous for a good 8 seconds or so.

I was on the cover of a glossy industry magazine years ago, subject of the main article. And no air-brushing!

No more classes, just finals next week and I'm done my first year of college, yay! Now I just have to pack everything up in my room before 930am tomorrow when I move out, blah.

QotD: I had someone stop me on the street a few weeks ago saying "Hey, were you in that musical at MCP? You were awesome!" and then carried on talking to me about it for a good 5 minutes. I was with an ex and a ton of his friends at the time so I felt pretty damn cool 8)

Talking of which, if you have nothing to do, you should maybe watch these Youtube videos of me in said musical, since they just went up today. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUiNT3cN ... re=related There are others if you click around, but that's my big song of the first act. I am mad whorey.

QotD: The 5 seconds in Shred when the song I wrote that Melvin covered played. Awesomeness.

Roll Call: Long day.

QotD: When I 'opened' for Weird Al at Meadowbrook, I was given VIP tent access during Al's show. A young couple came up to me in the tent all excited, with a copy of my CD, and they had me sign it and took a picture with me. That was a really neat moment.

QotD: When I was at college, I overheard some students talking about my band over lunch. That was flattering enough, but they went on to say "And that keyboard player! Man, he's incredible!"

"Yeah," the other one agreed. "He's the best musician in the group."

I wonder if they knew I was sitting a table away and listening...

Also there was that time during a show when they started chanting my name during a rockin' organ solo. I miss having a band.

Sound's like you are about to have another "rockin' organ solo" just thinking about it.

Hey, that's about 20 minutes from where I grew up. My family still lives there. Sorry I can't attend, things are busy down here.
Oh yeah, we talked about that a while back... enjoy!

Sexy Bjam for the win. Good job.

And I'm surprised your big fame moment wasn't..."Hey, didn't I see you macking on Bobby Flay after he beat the Macaroni lady".

Hey Bill - Thanks for the thoughts, I must have had them buzzing in my ear because the show went great. The folks at Barnes & Nobel loved my stuff and want to have me back, and I handed out at least 50 cards...how 'bout that!

Yesterday, I was recording vocals in a semi-pro type studio, and some touring students walked by. They looked at me like I was awesome (mostly because they couldn't hear my voice), but I felt totally awesome and famous for a few seconds. :)
