Conan
So, he takes over the Tonight Show and his cutting edge first guests are.......Will Ferrell and Pearl Jam.
Pearl Jam? At least, they make Will Ferrell look current.
I wish him the best, but so far, it sounds pretty lame to me.
P.S. Just checked out the rest of the week and it doesn't get any better: Sheryl Crow, John Mayer and Ryan Seacrest. Pfft.

Re: Conan
The guest interviews are usually the weakest part of a Conan episode. When I watch him, which (sadly) isn't often anymore, it's for the monologues and the sketches. Plus, now that he's doing The Tonight Show, he's got Andy Richter back!
I'm looking forward to it, if I can make the time.

Re: Conan
Although he has written for a number of shows that I've enjoyed, I never "got" Conan as a host. The only thing that interests me less than him hosting The Tonight Show is Jay Leno being on a 10pm five times a week. What a thrill....
Re: Conan
I couldn't agree more. Basically they replaced the one guy I never had any interest in watching with the other guy I never had any interest in watching, and my life is wholly unaffected.

Re: Conan
NBC is pretty desperate for it to succeed. I haven't a clue how they'll fill that spot if the Leno Show tanks. Get ready for some ER reruns, I guess...

Re: Conan
I say Craig Ferguson is the best late night host. He seems the most natural at not attempting to just read some lines. Plus some of his openings are just fucking fantastic. He mimed along to TMBG's Istanbul the other night. So good.
Conan's not doing too badly though. Still seems very Late Nightish, but it'll take him a few weeks to get into the jive. I think I prefer Letterman more though.

Re: Conan
I agree on Craig Ferguson. He's just entertaining to watch.
Poor Jimmy Fallon, though. I've always liked him, but who in the hell thought he'd be a good late night host. He awful!
