make sure you enter just http://www.songfight.org into your browser and not /blue or red. I had the same problem earlier.j$ wrote:Oh, I just have to be in '1000 words' don't I? Maybe as the Unitards, seeing as I can't get the CMYK fights to appear ...

You're right though, so get to it. I might be in for 'Bite Size', if only to posit the question what size is fun size?

I might be in for "Bite Size". Perhaps a tribute to a fun, quirky band I heard 3 years ago while in San Francisco, and was re-introduced to this year.

Hey-- cool. How's your pitching arm? Heejoshw wrote:WTF, I've got some extra time this week. "1000 Words" is written.
If anyone decides to get "creative" and write a song with 1,000 words, I'll hurl my shoe at them.

(Actually, to do that WAS my first mislaid inspiration when I saw the titles. Course-- I figured if it was MY first spin on the words-- There'd be a gaggle of ganders thinkin it too.)
To Do Is To Be. --Socrates
To Be Is To Do. --Plato
DoBeDoBe, DoBeDo --Sinatra
I could 'see' you-- humming away (a few pill bottles on the sideboard)...But it just didn’t measure up to the insanity that is Freudian Slip...

God bless you. They're hometown heroes of mine, them and Howe Gelb.dre wrote:I’ll be in 1000 words with my homage to the great Arizona band Calexico.
Anyways, so far I'm doing "Dog Boy Hits the Skids." It's a psych-folk kinda thing so far and I hope I'll add some melodica to it. It's inspired by a dream I had where I was up late with a friend and my eye started bleeding and she fixed it. It's fun!
Love,
Luke

Been out of action for a few weeks while I:
1. bought a new car
2. bought a new house, and
3. quit my job
4. get ready to start a new job
may return this week -
Projects for this weekend:
1. Finish Jig Is Up
2. Dogboy Hits The Skids
I move into my new house in 3 weeks. Looking forward to it - it has a recording studio with ocean views! (OK, my wife is actually calling it a 'bedroom' with ocean views - but I think I'll be able to make her see reason)

Does anybody read these?
I think I'll be in 1000 words with something relatively quick and relatively experimental. But not experimental enough to overcome my pop-sensibilities. I also plan on biting the style of a fellow songfighter.
