You messed with me Susan
You messed with my head
You made me feeling like boozin'
You made me wish I was dead
But I can still boogie
and I can still dance
and I can still smell a woman
that wants to take a chance
I still got it
I still got it
I still got it
You can't take it away!
Only got forty dollars
but that's enough for a start
Oh I can still holler
and I can play the guitar
Gonna find me a woman
make me feel like a man
not gonna treat me like Susan
gonna do all she can
I still got it
I still got it
I still got it
You can't take it away!
No
No
Forget you, Susan
it's too late
Forget you, Susan
I'm walking away
I still got it
I still got it
I still got it
You can't take it away!
Oh Susan
Susan

Re: Susan
Sorry, can't be in - a flu got me down.
If anyone is still in need for some Susan lyrics please use mine and let me know.
They are free. Maybe they need a little correction here and there
but at least it's a true story about a german newscaster who wanted to be big in Hollywood - and failed.
Susan
Susan scored excellent grades at school
a blonde beauty, always looking cool
became the youngest newscaster on TV
but something bigger she claimed to be
chorus:
don't forget where you came from
don't forget where you belong
'cause the crowd only loves you
...when you are strong
Susan published photos wearing scanty clothing
and so the broadcasting boss made her go
Hollywood's been a dream for too long
her starting role: she detonated by a bomb
Susan did present urinals for girls
was part of game shows just to be on air
but the biggest thing we could ever see
was her colonoscopy live on TV
outro:
what makes you show your face
until everybody laughs?
I guess it's inside every heart:
you just want to be loved.
sometimes you need someone
to tell you it's enough
the aim you claim's too high
the world outside is rough.
hold on to what you've got
'cause what you've got is good
being grateful is quite a lot
so don't you moan about what could,
should,
would
be -
my dear Mrs. Wannabe

oh susan have you left me now
my bright shining star
oh susan what have i done
has this worship gone too far
oh susan have you gone for good?
the path was narrow and it was steep
oh susan where have you gone
the night's too dark i cannot sleep
oh susan would you be a dear
hold my hand i am afraid
but susan you are not here
how would it be if you had stayed
oh susan are you peaceful now
no ropes to bind your limbs
oh susan do you sleep at last
the worms crawl out; the worms crawl in
oh susan is that you
your voice is just like and angel near
oh susan your touch
your skin's seen better days my dear
oh susan that's far enough
don't hold my hand don't call my name
oh susan you're just a ghost
you have no heart - you have no shame
oh susan have you left me now
my bright shining star
oh susan what have i done

Re: Susan
We've a lot to say to you
Many years to think it through
Oh, Susan, when you come back alone
We'll sing those songs you knew
Know we're taking care of home
When you're living on your own
Get moving! You haven't longer now
There's no time since you've grown
Susan, Susan, will you get back?
It's not doing you much good
When we call your name do you still turn in surprise?
Do you think we'll wait when you're running out of time?
Was your love a little late?
Were you wise in your mistakes?
But through it you'll never need
What they can't give you anyway
Were you kind and were you just,
Though they never mattered much?
Oh, Susan, you were so young once
And so empty in your touch
Susan, Susan, will you get back?
It's not doing you much good
When we call your name do you still turn in surprise?
Do you think we'll wait when you're running out of time?
[Solo]
Susan, Susan, will you get back?
It's not doing you much good
When we call your name do you still turn in surprise?
Do you think we'll wait when you're running out of time?
Such a pretty life and we see it when you smile
Don't know who comes next so you'll keep them for a while
We've a lot to say to you

Re: Susan
Susan
Based on the life of Susan Atkins, a member of the Manson Family and participant in the Tate/La Bianca murders.
Susan was someone's little girl once
Mighta had curls, probably spun around in her dress
Probably looked in wonder at the world once
Whole life ahead, anything could happen next
Momma died, the drink took daddy away
Every "here" seemed nowhere at all
Where she was headed next, no one could say
I guess they shoulda seen the fall
One thing leads to another
That's the way things go
And now she's gone forever
But she was gone forever, a long time ago
Charly's a little weird but he plays guitar good
Hard to explain why you'd do the things he said
Everything went a little helter skelter
Next thing you know people are dead
Did it take away the pain when you plunged your knife in?
Did it make you feel better to write in blood?
Now you spent and lost your life in prison
Did it accomplish any of the things you thought it would?
Susan was someone's little girl once
Mighta had curls, probably twirled around in her dress
It just makes me shake my head and wonder
How. A little girl could turn out to be such a mess
One thing leads to another
That's the way things go
And now she's gone forever
But she was gone forever, a long time ago

Re: Susan
I first saw her at an old Chinese restaurant
She was getting on in years but that was okay
When they closed that old place down
I brought her with me into town
And took her home with me to help out with my kids
Having a large family sometimes is hard
The food doesn't always get passed around
So Susan came to help us out
She was so nice without a doubt
She came to help us out with our meals
But Susan, she was so lazy
She was so lazy
She only helped out at dinnertime
She was so lazy
But we're glad that she was there
she helped us turn our food
She was round and not a square
Though sometimes she was misunderstood
Susan
We liked having her around all the time
But didn't do a lot, just sitting in the kitchen
She was the best when it was time to eat
We got to stay off our feet
The food would just spin round and round
Susan, she was so lazy
She was so lazy
She only helped out at dinnertime
She was so lazy
But we're glad that she was there
She helped us turn our food
She was round and not a square
Though sometimes she was misunderstood
