R.I.P. David Anderson. May the 4th be with you.

On another note, our Rose Parade was this morning instead of yesterday on the 1st.
Guess why.
Give up?
ok ok, I'll give you another minute! (looks at wrist where a watch would be if I wore one)
Ok, times up.
Because back when the Rose Parade started in 1890, it created a problem for the local church goers. In 1893, the parade comity had to agree with the demands of the churches of Pasadena to never have the parade on Sunday because it would spook the parishioners horses. In turn, the churches agreed to pray that it will never rain on the parade. To date, the parade has been moved to Jan 2nd 14 times since 1893 and it has rained on the parade 9 times to date. 2006 being the last time.

The moral of this true story. Praying isn't 100%, but tradition is. ;)
