Happy 66th anniversary of the Roswell UFO incident - 7/8/13

Complain about your schedule. Apparently people like that sort of thing.

Happy 66th anniversary of the Roswell UFO incident - 7/8/13

Post by Billy's Little Trip »

I know this because the google doodle today was an alien game. I played it, sent the lil feller back to his home planet and then google auto searched the Roswell stuff. :)

Go play le' game! https://www.google.com/

So what's on everyone's agenda for the week? Any new music? Tried a new recipe? Tripped and banged up your funny bone?

Last night I was in the mood for chocolate chip cookies. Actually, I'm always in that mood, but last night I decided to do something about it.
So I start making a toll house dough and after I have it started I notice I don't have chocolate chips. So I'm all, awww f**k! :(
BUT I notice I have a about a half bag of M&Ms. Cool. I haven't had M&M cookies since forever! But I mixed them in and M&M to dough ratio was disappointing. :(
I like my cookies LOADED. So I look around and have a new bag of mini pretzels. Cool. I like flipz, (pretzels dipped in chocolate) so they might be good in the cookies.

The answer is YES. They ARE good in toll house cookie dough. Sweet and salty is so wonderfully great together.

So there you have it. Try it sometime. ;)

I've been doing some 90-second soundtrack pieces for a thing. It's fun to experiment with just throwing stuff together and seeing what I can come up with.

Ah, Roswell. That was fun show. Can't believe it was 66 years ago though. Hmmm, Emilie de Ravin has aged quite well.

My agenda for this week is all about new music. Just released a new song yesterday: http://niveous.bandcamp.com/track/eat-your-hair

And hopefully there will be a lot of new music coming soon. I hope to even get a Songfight in (if we can get out of the Songfight Gap soon)

It's all about (mostly hearing) music these days. Saw a great jazz show Saturday night in Brooklyn (at Barbès), the Pedro Giraudi Sextet was really sweet. Tonight seeing Nathan Lane in "The Nance". Next week it's Dracula with Phillip Glass playing live, some Mozart, then Asphalt Orchestra, and Monkey: Journey to the West, all at Lincoln Center. Hope to get Robert Plant and Beck in as well. Then some SFL thing in Austin. July/Aug is live music stuff time! Sep is Thom Yorke. October is Steely Dan's Aja. I like having a job again :)

That's funny, Niv! I wouldn't have known the relationship to the snack time kids if you didn't explain it. But what a great subject matter for a song. The title alone makes one want to listen, lol.

You're a lucky guy, Roy. You have the coolest job ever.

Do you have your 90 second pieces posted somewhere, fluf? I'm curious to hear what you're coming up with. I do something similar to that, except I do 20 second theme songs, jingles and vid segue bits. It's fun.

Is that with Damon Albarn? That is a weird CD . I prefer this:

Why can't I get Monkey of DVD anywhere?
