Merry Christmas (or whatever works for you)!
Believe it or not, I spent my spare moments of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day investigating some beta software that mashes up MS Word and XML/XSL-FO, in ways with which I won't bore you.
Why would I do that, you say? Because the guy developing the software realizes he needs help with the technical documentation (I totally concur!), and being in a hurry, he deliberately posted this requirement to an industry newsgroup on Christmas Eve, hoping to attract workaholics. I'm not normally a workaholic, but I certainly could use the work right now, so I'm chatting him up.
At the moment, working around party commitments my wife expects me to honour (including our own dinner party scheduled for tonight) and a commitment to help out with a track at a studio tomorrow, I am getting ready to write a proposal for delivery by end of day on the 27th. (End of day PST, for sure!)
