Complain about your schedule. Apparently people like that sort of thing.

Feburary 8, 2014: Technology

Post by fluffy »

I've been playing with changing the way I deal with the phone, and as part of it I'm ditching a smartphone and switching to an iPod Touch as my smart device. I've had this Touch for a long time, but today I played with Siri for the first time.

I told Siri, "Tell me a joke."

Siri said, "Playing songs by Abjure!."

I'm surprised that you just know played with an iphone. I thought it was a brainiac sacrilege not to own one.

I as well will be making the leap, fine sir. Image

I see my son setting appointments on his iphone and Siri reminding him like a secretary for everything and that did it for me. I NEED that!!

BLT: I had the original iPhone, and I've gone back and forth with the iPod Touch and other things for a long time. I just never played with Siri before tonight.

Albatross: Nope, "It's Invisible." Which I think made it better as a joke.

Was it because of all the pressure from the song title "her" and the movie with ScarJo's voice being so seductive? If propaganda and media moved you to your decision, I say run in the other direction. Do not become a product with a bar code on your penis. Fight the man and grow your own strawberries!

.......said the guy that owns Alex Jones' entire set of books on tape. :P

..I don't, but if I was that guy, I'd totally say that.

I asked Siri for a head job. And she gave me the names of local employment agencies. She is a teasing little minx.

I don't actually own any Apple devices, but I know people who do. Someone was showing me an iPhone (this was before the Super Bowl), and she asked Siri who was in the Super Bowl, and it came up with the Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks right away. I asked it a few things. I wanted to see how complex of a sentence Siri could handle, so I read the URL of Jim of Seattle's song "ABCD Puppies" in its entirety. I said it slowly, w, w, w, dot, song fight, dot, org, and so on. It got the whole thing right ... except it thought I said Song Flight instead of Song Fight. At one point, I said, "Siri is really crazy!" It responded with "But ... but", whatever that means.
