Not sure what to say about this one. I didn't feel like being glib in the thread title...

Is this the "unsubscribe" pre fight, Andy Glib? If so, you should go crawl back into the Pandora's box you came from. It's terrible! But yeah, Balt, Ma. sad.

...did you notice how I not only worked Andy Gibb into my insult, but your livelihood as well? Why there hasn't been a statue of my bust not erected at this point baffles me.

....did you notice how I said bust and erected without giggling?

Image....sorry, I've had 4 lime-a-ritas and I thought about it too long. berrbz and bernerz!
edit: that huge fdrinkd space was bugging me every time I looked at this thread.

Tonight I was watching the Seattle riots from where I live a block away, while getting stoned in front of my parents. We live in interesting times.

Tempting. I already wrote a song about watching a riot, back in 1989. Who'd know?

In case I do enter this fight, here's the one from 1989.

Dig the classic rock sound on You Don't Care. The song I most associate with riots is that Sublime song that has the line:

it's about coming up and staying on top
screaming 187 at a motherfuckin' cop
"I don't recommend ending on a bad joke." --ken

So funny! I thought the exact same thing. I actually spent the evening looking through my 16-bit songs for a Super Adventure Island track that I have been dying to remix!

In the end, I settled on a Final Fantasy 7 tribute. I told my daughter about it and, again, she wants in. We may end up submitting two songs. One for her and one for me. Both FF7 style. We'll see...

I submitted cover art for this challenge, and for the record:

The cover art I submitted is a section of an original collage by my buddy Brian Raiter. I just cropped the image and added words to it. This was done and submitted to Song Fight with his written permission. The original image, which is epic and oh so appropriate for this Song Fight, can be found here:

If anyone has any rioty lyrics, I have some rioty music for a BLT song. Dee and Paco are hard at work with Nur Ein and I've got a hankerin' to rock out with my Bach out.

Gah... I'm out this week, too. Work and holidays got the better of me. Mother's Day, Teacher's Week, Nurse's Day, regular work??? I never had a chance.

See you next fight!
