no full reviews from me today.

1: wreckdom - i like it better than last week's. dig the hyde-then-jekyll character.
rattpoizon - i'm digging this a lot, great sitar. the id3 tags make me suspicious. i think the loud part is not nearly as good.
2: grand - vocals need better treatment. i don't feel like this song draws me in.
special - i liked it a lot better before the spoken word part. the lead voc sounds cool.
minty - heh, interesting goofy thing. good for that kids cd of jbb's. i think more vocal takes would be good.
j$ - i think this song would be great except i feel like the timing is off.
luke - i kinda like this, but the volume change was too much.
didn't like:
dajw - i find the song kind of compelling, but the overload on the vocals is ruining it. it would be fun otherwise.
other - i don't agree, sorry.

i'm going to shock myself and vote for wreckdom. weird!

I know what you mean - I think it's actually that the guitar is covering the exact same range as the hi-hat in the verses, burying them, which means pretty much all you can hear there (without concentrating) is the bass drum, which is unusually (for me) but deliberatley on the off-beat.

maybe the guitar is slightly loose but no more than usual / enough to throw off the timing ...

JBB is doing a kids' CD? Hmm. I have a small pile of simple kids' songs, my favorite of which (two out of three verses completed so far) is called "Don't Sleep Beneath The Monkey Tree." Maybe I should finish it...
