Set up live gigs with each other, announce gigs you're playing around the country or whatever, talk about how the show went, post links to recordings, etc.

And HAPPY BIRTHDAY in any case!!!
Dunno about performing. Would anyone really want to hear some boring old girl-from-Portland plunking away on acoustic guitar? Nahhhh... save spots for the ROCK.

You're just saying that so someone will come on and say "No, we'd LOVE to hear you! Please please pleeeez".
So consider it said. I say "save spots for the GIRLZ"

No, I'm just saying that to prevent, god forbid, any situation in which I have to actually practice a set and, how you say, "bring it."
I'd rather get tipsy and have a good time!
Which, assuming I don't have any godforsaken freelance job to do that weekend, I will be doing! Tipsy! Yes! And how! In Seattle! In honor of our man Spud! Amen.
Yeah, I know what you mean. Thus far, I've successfully managed to get out of ever having to "bring it" anywhere. But just FYI, last time I attended a live SF event, ince I'd been there awhile I seriously regretted not having thrown my hat in. I'm trying really hard to remember that realization and pit it against my paralyzing terror of performing live.

hey, we busted puce's cherry at that show! you just gotta say F it and bring the rawk! if spud can get up there and take off his shirt and beat on his chest, what's your excuse?*
just remember, although we bicker constantly, you're still among friends.
*i would say other than being a pussy but that would be mean and i like you jim.
So, are you taking over the whole place, or just the stage area? Do we hand those out to the privileged few who would want to help celebrate your birthday (and revel in the majesty of an # performance too)?
Too many questions, heh. Have a good trip down to Lost Angeles!
The reason I had not yet commited to Spudfest is because I was waiting to hear about a job. I just got offered the job. Thunbs up for getting paid to actually edit for a major cable network. Thumbs way down for my shift being a weekend shift, there by officially excluding me from Spudfest. The funny thing is that since I hadn't heard about the job yet, I was planning on buying my ticket to Seattle TODAY. But alas (and hooray) they called and offered it to me.
Plane reservations are MADE. If you were on the fence and waiting to see if I was going to be there, well, now you know to stay home.

I know! I can't even tell you how excited I was at the prospect of repeating that. It was the highlight of my set. I am saddened at missing the birthday event o' the year, but I am happy to have the ability to replenish my bank account once more. I'll be sure to call in my happy beer wishes for you on the night of.
I hope that Rachael and I will still be attending, but it is looking unlikely for a few reasons. Amongst them:
1. We just got hit with an unexpected $950 car repair bill.
2. We are buying our first house, and the move-in date just happens to be around the time of Spudfest.
We will still try to pull something off, but we might not be able to attend.
Stubby Phillips and Dr. Water will be there. Hope Octothorpe will back us up as the house band, 'cause I don't wanna bring my 466 MHz Pentium Pro desktop dinosaur to do the drums and bass! Sounds like fun, and happy birthday Spud!

Rock a few out for me!
DUDE! That sucks!
You have no excuse to NOT come to Van city now though. What's cooler than staying with a man who lives with his parents in their guest room?
