Or did you already click the link and now you're going "what was that???"

Oh... I just couldn't tell by the name or what you said what song it was or who you were covering ... so it's a Rone cover?
By the way. Awesome job on the song. It's so good. Kind of makes me want to revisit mine and work a bit harder on it ... especially to make the vocals more understandable.

KA: In your seven hundred and forty five songfight-related song entries, this is the first one I've ever heard sloppy guitar playing on. It sounds great!

Here's a list of songs that have already been claimed (some of which are already posted!). Of course, given that a Rone cover will tend to come out wayyy different than the original, there's absolutely nothing wrong with multiple artists doing covers of the same songs.

Bitter Orange
Don't You
I Like to Pretend
I Like to Pretend
I Like to Pretend
Rate of Decay
Up All Night

Note the three "Pretend"s. That's totally okay and is in fact awesome. Some other songs have been partially or half-assedly claimed, but let's not bother adding those to the list since they're so tentative.

I'll edit this as it changes.

why dont you:

1) make a new thread on the sidefights topic
2) make the first post a link to the existing songs
3) update the list in that post
4) get the fuck off of my hating-on-you-topic, you thread pirate.

Yes, but instead put it under the "Help and How To" section under the heading of "How to Polish a Turd".

Wow. This one is sweet as hell. I saved it to my HD. :D

Weasel's song I couldn't get to play. The lightningmp3 server seems to be down.

I think it's ironic that if it weren't for the various righteous indignation over the idea of his hxaro being undeserved causing people to get galvanized about what the "true spirit of hxaro" is, everyone would have just ignored St. Hxaro and this wouldn't have happened.

yeah it would

consider this turd polished (although I do think this is the one song that stands up on it's own, so it was a bit of a copout choice from me really )

Great job Melvin and Furry.

I give up. There's no way I could top all the cool Rone covers here. I'll just be sitting back and enjoying the music.

Very, very impressed. Talk about making something out of nothing. 8)

Wow! I was planning to do "I like to pretend" too....I had no idea it would be such a popular choice for the covering. It seems that ILTP may be Rone's greatest hit.

The "I Like to Pretend" variations would make quite an album.

(Oh, and I probably wont be tackling my cover until closer to the August deadline... or at least not until after June 20th...I've overbooked myself for the next few weeks)
