He's all busy with his wife and kids that just aren't good enough for him.

It's safe to return.

I also wish I had a bottle of Shiraz. Well, it's 6:30am now, but I'd save it for tonight. At Thanksgiving we had a bottle of Yellow Tail, and it was worth all of the seven bucks I paid for it, but no more.
yellow tail is just not very good. try smoking loon - same price, but yummy.

Smoking Loon is actually good, huh? I've seen it on the shelf, but being in New Hampshire (On Golden Pond and all that), I figured that particular wine was just a local cash-in. I'll give it a try or two. :)

Rosemount, probably, however Syrah and Shiraz are the same grape. There may be stylistic differences between them, and regionally Aus seems to pick Shiraz while Calif picks Syrah (e.g.), but they're really the same thing.
I like Rosemount, but I like Penfolds better for Aus wines. Yellowtail sucks.

Oops, yes I did! Spelling was never my strong suit.

And yes, Syrah is the same thing as Shiraz...but better for making bad puns.

At least in this case.

I'll have to try the Penfolds!

(Sorry to continue to hijack this thread with cheap wine blather... but cheap red wine is one of my favorite things.)

Thank God, I've been trying really hard to figure stuff out on my own. BTW, this seems a really opportune time time to give a shout out to THC who's doing the provider work for my someday to be released website. I have one but I'm working on some content now so I'll link that at some point. Anyway, the experience has been great and he's really easy to work with and very customer oriented. Anyone who's interested and doesn't already have their own webpage going or is thinking of changing providers should without hesitation give him their business. Competitive rates, exceptional customer service and he's a guy that is trying to realize his dream of never working again.

So help a brutha out!

EDIT: And because I just flat out love the guy and I've had more than one concern expressed about my avatar, I'll work on finding a new one.

Nobody likes a wine-wanker Luke. Just knock the top off and neck the bastard. More than AUD$20 a bottle is masturbation.

I'll take a beer over good wine, anyway. I just wanted to be a snob for a moment.

edit: But I also really like masturbating.

Then you should always remember to pronounce shiraz "syrah", and semillon "semi-yon" - they are the tell-tale mating calls of a wine-tosser.

BTW: my pesonal favourite is this little beauty, Yalumba Colombard Chardonnay in the 2-litre goon-bag. Roughly US$7 for 2 litres - it stays down a little longer than most and does the job good and proper. Not too much oak flavour - so it is suitable for early morning drinking before work. Discerning palettes will move onto something more fully-bodied around morning-tea time.

Oh yeah, I forgot all about that! There's a Trader Joe's down on the NH/MA border. I wonder if they've got any. Two bottles of Two Buck Chuck would probably make for a good Four Buck Upchuck.

...actually, according to that link of yours, the stuff is award-winning. Wow!
