Done and in. It turns out I will be flying solo for this project, so everyone gets to hear my crappy singing.

Albatross covers Lou Reed's "Hangin' Round"

Here is the STREAM

If I missed your cover, or you have one you want added, let me know. fairly much as they are on the front page, only with the double-cover-makers randomly spread around to make it a more even listen.

voting thingy will take a couple of days, while I wait and see if there are any stragglers.

Is there an easy way to tell which songs weren't posted directly to this thread but are in the Stream? I just want to d/l them all (and I have d/l'd all the ones posted to the thread). I was able to pick up the Sp@@ns tracks, but please let me know if any where submitted directly to you, j$!

Peace

Nothing was sent to me directly. Everything in the stream I got from the boards, so there won't be any that 'passed you by'.

I might be resubmitting a new version of my cover. When is the cut off?

j$ / rinky and all participants - I know this is a lot of work to do and I want to thank you for taking the time to make this side fight possible.
I have enjoyed recording and listening to the songs already posted.

OK, it's 2:00pm here in Cali and I just got back to my studio. Give me and hour to put together my new mix. I think Mr. Money said it might be a day or two to set up the voting, so I hope I can get this new one submitted with my secret guest vocalist.

Thanks for your help here J$, very much appreciated (as is the effort everyone has made to submit a tune)

I had a thought, instead of a voting thingy maybe I should just start a new 'VU coverfight Voting' thread and everyone/anyone can post their vote there. It'll save yerself the bother of making a voting thingy (i don't know if it is easy or not, or time consuming or not)

There's been an update or two to the first post regarding song submissions and I know that at least one more song will be forthcoming tomorrow, but with all the time zones i don't know if tomorrow is now or if its the day after now but the definite cutoff for submissions to be included in the vote has to be 00:01 on monday morning, that'll give meself and jonny time to figure out the voting mechanism and get it posted...........so if you want to be included, get it done NOW!!!

Sure - that would be easier. I can do a fancy voting page if you like, but anything that means less work for me is always welcome!
