a bit too much wine, and I've been wanting to help out Niveous on starting roll call, plus how much of the depressing stuff can we all take? so cheers Niv...

it's a great and sunny (not yet) day, and everything is wonderful.

man i love change of seasons, specially fall, brings out the romantic side of me.

which brings me to this 2 part QOTD:
A) over the years have you noticed how the change of season alters your mood? and if so what season and what mood ?
B) the ever so important sociological question: which of this heroes would you shag and in what order ?
Image

A) fall/winter - Romance
B) 12 - short hair does it for me, 9 - X eyes! yes! , 4, 2.

Neither the seasons nor the weather in general have any effect on me whatsoever. Not even in what I wear.

QOTD: Hard to say, I have never seen any of those people in my life. Would have to get to know them better. The guys, a LOT better.

QOTD: Hmmmm
1. Nahh, I don't trust him.
2. I've always had a thing for sleeves that match the skirt, so yeah, I'd kick the tires and check the oil.
3. Nahh, he's a fat pig...literally.
4. Well, under that tough girl exterior, I think there's a sweet girl that wants to give me an appetite, then make me a sandwich.
5. No way, the dudes got a stick up his ass and probably gets out of the shower to take a pee.
6. Ouch.
7. Nope, too old for me
8. I like hot Asian chicks with glasses. Is that Bobby Lee's sister?
9. Nope, that hand thing would freak me out. She'd be all..take out the garbage *does her hand thing*...I'd be all, ..oh, knock it off, your stupid magic doesn't work on me, Sabrina! ....then when I get back in from taking out the garbage, I'd be all like, DOH!
10. Too intense.
11. Sure, I'd give her a test drive to see what kind of mileage she gets.
12. Yep, I'd pour a gallon of Weston oil on that floor, get us both nakies, then slide around with her like two penguins on a warm sex glacier. Then when we can't take it anymore, I'll challenge her to some hockey. Except I'm the puck and she's the goal cage. After I show her my hat trick, she'd get my name tattooed on her goal crease. Image

QOTD: Pretty much the same throughout and between the seasons. Shag? Well, I might be able to make a nice shag bathmat out of most of their hair. Except #6, I'd have to hope he's got enough thatch down under to make up for the lack of hair up top.

a combination of season and weather. i grew up in buffalo, a city that gets a lot of snow. here in maryland, it gets cold, but not cold enough for snow, and then it rains. so rainy and grey. that depresses the heck out of me. but i get happy when it snows. the rest of the year is fine.

California's season changes are hot, and then not as hot for a few months. Sometimes it rains, we call that rainy season. Sometimes we get earthquakes, we call that earthquake season, no matter what time of the year it is. Sometimes we flavor our food, we call that Lawry's season.

Today is one of those days where I wish I was outside walking around. It's fall, the sun is warm but the breeze is cool, and I'm full of General Gau's chicken. A walk in the woods and a nap in the leaves sounds just right. Won't be happening though. There isn't even a window near my workstation. Man, I gotta get out from under the thumb of the man, man. Or maybe just eat lighter lunches.

Dre, we're a lot alike when it comes to our Florida weather. The first thing I thought when I walked out the door this morning was all the good times I had in Atlanta with special girlfriends that I had there. (Then the inevitable crash of reality setting in on the drive to work)

so,

A} Its one of those dryer and not so hot days here in central Florida and it too takes me to a different time and place. I'm not even certain why. But it is a romantic feeling of fall that I am familiar with. I once had a dream in which I fell in love. The girl was wearing a very comfortable white patterned sweater and then I woke up.

B} There is at least one there that isn't legally shag'ble, am I right...was that the test? Did I pass? Again we are alike in the short hair, I'll take #12 thank you very much. I'm very big on 'cute'.

Summer's over, YEAH!!! Pumpkin stew season rocks! Then there's that "not quite winter" season, which sucks. Then there's that yummy winter season (skating and skiing and what not), which rocks again. Then there's the melt into Spring greatness. Which then fades into yucky summer again.

I've been trying as many pumpkin ales as I can find this season. Some have been pretty bad; little more than pub ale with nutmeg in it. But Smuttynose makes a fine pumpkin ale. My favorite so far. Blue Moon's offering was okay too.

A- I love the fall. Generally speaking, beautiful weather that is short lived. Reminds you that time is short, or something.

B - I don't know the show, but by the photos, number 11 is number 1.

Keep us updated - these recomendations are greatly appreciated - I enjoy the pumpkin ale this time of year, too. An album of Hallowe'en themed irish drinking songs would be good too - maybe we should pair up for one.

Noticed an interesting thing about weather today. It was a beautiful, bright sunny spring day today in Taranaki and I had lunch at a restaurant on the water. Quite spectacular. But because bright, sunny days are so rare here - it really was quite special. Especially with Mt Taranaki shining in the background covered in snow. (there has been so much snow this year that the ski fields have announced that they will be staying open until after Christmas. Skiing in the middle of summer!)

Back in Brisbane, about 80% of the days are bright warm and sunny - so people hardly ever say "What a beautiful day!" (about 20% of the days are stinking hot and humid, and everyone says "I hate this bloody humidity").

It is an interesting change. In a place where the weather is uniformly nice - you only really notice the bad days and complain about them. But in a place where the weather is uniformly cold and damp - the nice days are a real treat and give you an extra little boost.

Anyway - we are slowly aclimatising to NZ - so much so that I just bought a small piece of it. Just signed a contract for a house in New Plymouth city down near the water. We take possession in about 4 weeks. Hooray! No more renting.

1: My sleep schedule is pretty dang precarious, and the seasonal transitions really mess with it (especially when daylight saving begins and ends)
2: That question made no fucking sense until the images finally loaded. After they finally loaded I still had no idea who the hell any of them were. I guess they're characters in Heroes? I hate that show and have only seen a few episodes because it's so badly-written and predictable. So I'll just be all 3dgy and say #7 LOL PEDOPHILIA (well okay a bit more seriously #8 since he's the only character in that piece of crap I've enjoyed and he's kind of cute)

drc: Presented what I've been working on to my boss. I thought the presentation (and subject matter) were really basic simple stuff but he liked it, so much so that one of my coworkers will be presenting it on my behalf when he's in Tokyo next week. Also after the meeting he kept on coming by my cube to compliment me on my work. It was weird.
