Get A Life by Eidolon we've all got a lit fuse in the back of our heads and we can never see it never count the threads never feel its length never know the cost never understand the weight of a day that is lost and when it goes off it blows a hole in the wall in the back of the room in the back of...

Thanks Niveous.. I had no idea! (obviously)Niveous wrote:Eidolon,
if any further questions like that come up, dig up the Songfight Liner Notes thread. It's a convenient resource (despite its burial under all of the review threads).

But, I still don't see how all of this is any different than if I were the lead singer in a band and I wrote all the songs and I just had my band create the music for me to match my songs. That would actually be a lot less work than what I have to deal with to make the song I write try to match wha...

So you don't think it's just a teensy bit late for an introduction, then? I was pestering Blue in another thread about which projects he was involved in here at SF because I was curious and hadn't a clue as to his background. I had a feeling he was involved with a few projects but had no idea of th...

Re: Songfights missed
here are a couple of live practice recordings of booty tunes written for songfights but never turned in: Are you in 'Booty' Blue? I'm sure there is a intro thread around somewhere perhaps where that info is listed. Anyway I hadn't actually realized what projects you were working with here and this ...

Repetition IS fairly awesome and Blue reminded me of that. I don't think it's always necessary to have a perfectly repeating chorus, but like you say, it needs to at least follow a common theme or something. But having a hook is very important. I guess, in general, bridges are for saying something ...

Look man, poorly recorded acoustic guitar doesn't need a poorly-recorded electric playing power chords thru a $5 distortion pedal behind it. Hah! That had me laughing out loud. Harsh feedback, now this is what i'm looking for.. not just harsh with no point, but in the sense where you've at least pr...

My reviews: I tend to listen a bunch to the tunes before reviews.. then I find a night where i've got some time and just go through them and sorta free form type my thoughts as they play. My thoughts they are often quite rambling and not very constructive at times i'm afraid. You've been forewarned!...

It's probably the same dude from my office. It just takes a couple hours to drift over to Brattleboro. ;) I haven't been down there in a long time, but there was some crunchy restaurant I played a show at that was pretty fun, I recall. Wow.. someone nearby! (sorta) :) Perhaps you played at the 'wea...

On a completely unrelated topic: NOBODY I WORK WITH IS CAPABLE OF MICROWAVING POPCORN SUCCESSFULLY. They always burn that shit, and the office stinks all day. And who needs popcorn at 9am? Honestly. Man, you too!? At least at my workplace, the burning popcorn bandit waits until 11am.. but yeah- eve...

...Sounds like your reaching up. Try reaching down to the notes. That's kinda what helped me. Do you mean sing an octave down.. or some kinda state of mind thing? ;) ...it would be cool if you had some more instruments and stuff. (See next comment:) I like the sound on that guitar, but this song so...

leafy goodness...
I am enjoying that leaf song.. SO much..! wow.. the music reminds me of some favorite moments of faith no more back in the day.. maybe like a cross between 'the real thing' album and even 'the angel dust' album.. but its not like leafs voice sounds like mike patton.. but the music style that reminds...

Reviewz
I think i'll try using the yee olde rating style of 1-10 on this fight.. see how that works out.. along with random thoughts while listening. These thoughts are free and should be valued as such. 8) Mainly first or second listens here too.. so, take that into consideration, doesn't give a lot of tim...
